2 Wheel Heelys FAQS

Which Heelys are best for beginners?

Heelys X2 dual wheel roller shoes are designed for beginners who want to learn how to Heely with ease. These roller shoes come with two wheels in each shoe, providing greater stability and balance, making it easier for beginners to get the hang of the Heelys experience. The dual wheel design ensures that users can enjoy a smooth ride without losing balance or control, making it easier to learn new tricks and techniques. As users become more comfortable with Heelys, they can remove the front wheel to transition into a more advanced level of Heelying.

How to use Heelys?

Learn to Roll in 3 simple steps.

Step 1. Step & Glide - Start with one foot in front, push off gently, and roll on your back wheel.

Step 2. Find Your Balance - Keep Knees slightly bent eyes forward and arms out for stability.

Step 3. Stop with Confidence - Drop your front foot down flat to stop smoothly.

How do you take the wheels out of Heelys?

To take the wheels out of Heelys, follow these steps.

To remove by hand:

Step 1. Hold the shoe upside down with the sole and wheel facing away from you. Position both thumbs (one on top of the other) against the side of the wheel that is closer to you.

Step 2. Using your thumbs, push out and upward on the side of the wheel. Because axles are pressure fitted into the axle arms, removing the wheels may be difficult at first.

Step 3. If after step #2, the wheel has not come loose, turn the shoes around and repeat Step #2 on the other side of the wheel.

To remove using the Heelys wheel removal tool:

Step 1. Position the shoe upside down and insert the hook of the tool under the axel of the wheel.

Step 2. Gently pull the tool to dislodge the axle and remove the wheel.

Can Heelys be used as normal shoes?

Yes, Heelys can be used as normal shoes by easily removing the wheels. Once you have removed the wheels, you can insert a Heel plug and your Heelys will look and function just like any other shoe.

What comes with my Heelys?

When ordering from our site, we guarantee your Heelys roller shoes will arrive with a set of wheels, Heel Plugs, and a Plug Removal Kit. (excludes the Classic X2 / Snazzy X2 Models which come with Wheels but not with Plugs or a Tool).

What is the difference between 1 Wheel and 2 Wheel Heelys?

Choosing the right Heelys depends on your experience, skill level and confidence balancing.

Our intermediate-level collection of 1 Wheel Heelys are perfect for those ready to take their wheeling skills to new heights. One Wheel Heelys offer more maneuverability and faster turning, allowing for more advanced techniques and tricks.

New to Heelying? Beginners love our 2 Wheel Heelys which offer greater stability and balance. The dual wheel design makes it easier to learn how to roll and stop. Once you gain confidence it's easy to remove the front wheel for more advanced Heelying.
